This website is controlled and operated by CV.TV. We are located in the United Kingdom (UK) and our principal activity is the provision of career management services.
CV,tv take online privacy seriously and offer this information so users of the CV.TV website can become familiar with how we collect and use personal information.
By registering and submitting your personal information and by using this website, you agree to the use of your personal information as set out in this privacy statement.
Information Provided By The User
If you make a decision to register with CV.TV we may collect basic personal information about you such as your name, your physical address and your email address.
If you use CV.Tv as a ‘candidate user’ (Candidate) and proffer a Curriculum Vitae, then we may also collect more detailed information such as your telephone number, date of birth, education, skills, career history, references, interests, gender and nationality. This information may include photographs, video clips and documents that you choose to associate with your Curriculum Vitae on CV.TV
If you use CV.Tv as an ‘employer user’ (Employer) user then we may also collect more detailed information such as your full company details including telephone number, Company Registration Details, VAT status, directors names, and details of the main employer account holder. This information may include photographs, video clips and documents that you choose to associate with your Curriculum Vitae on CV.TV
Users of the CV.TV website may decide to include sensitive information about themselves or their company which may include any, or more, of the following examples: (i) your racial or ethnic origin, (ii) your political opinions, (iii) your religious or philosophical beliefs, (iv) your membership of a trade union, (v) your physical or mental health, (vi) your sexual life or (vii) your criminal record. The decision to include information is left entirely to the choice of the individual user concerned, but if a decision to include this kind of information is offered the user can still control how it is used and accessed by using the tools available in the Candidate or Employer Control Panels.
Where you provide information about other people (for example referees), it is the users responsibility to ensure that they have agreed to you passing on their details in this way.

Responsibilities Of The User
The Users of this site are wholly responsible for keeping their own log-in details, which includes user name and password, confidential to themselves. Users are also responsible for granting, revoking and time-dating access to their Candidate or Employer User pages. CV.TV is not responsible for the use by third parties of any personal information contained in their Candidate or Employer User pages once Users have granted access to these pages. If Users have disclosed their log-on details to a third party then CV.TV is not responsible. Users are responsible for keeping the information in their Candidate or Employer User pages accurate and up to date.
Users may use the services provided by CV.TV and this website only for lawful purposes. Users may not use the website or our services to publish or distribute material that is seen in any way as:
defamatory, obscene, offensive, pornographic, discriminatory or offensive or which harasses the recipient
infringing the intellectual property rights of any third party
containing unsolicited commercial or advertising material, chain letters or other junk mail (spam) of any kind
containing viruses, spyware or other malicious code
that is in any other way unlawful and illegal in the United Kingdom and/or the legal jurisdiction of the User.
CV.TV takes this matter seriously and reserves the right to remove any material which we believe contravenes these terms without redress.
How We Use Personal Information Supplied By The User
CV.TV uses the personal information supplied by the User to help provide you with the career management services you have requested. This includes keeping a record of the access rights you have granted and who had accessed the Candidate or Employer User pages We also use information provided by Users for administration purposes such as contacting you with regard to registration, the services we offer, or with regard to any changes to CV.TV’s terms and conditions.
CV.tv is set up to improve the career development of our Candidate Users and to assist Employer Users in their search for relevant candidates to help progress their organisation or company. We may analyse the information provided by Candidate or Employer Users so we can advise each with regard to other career management services that we believe could improve this goal. Users can opt out of this during the process of registration or at any other time by contacting us at Info@CV.tv
We do not collect any other personal information through the website except as described above, nor do we use personal information collected through the website for any other purposes. We endeavour to handle Users personal information fairly and lawfully, and in accordance with national data privacy laws.
How Users Can Control Their personal information On CV.TV
The Users of CV.TV have ultimate control over the information provide to CV.tv, the way in which Candidate or Employer User pages are used, and to who this information is allowed to be viewed.
A Candidate Users CV is not searchable or accessible by recruiters, employers or any other other party unless the Candidate User has first granted them access to this information. Candidate Users can grant and revoke access and add, delete or hide information using the CV.TV Candidate Users Control page.
An Employer Users information is not searchable or accessible by candidates or any other other party unless the Employer User has first granted them access to this information. Employer Users can grant and revoke access and add, delete or hide information using the CV.TV Employer Users Control page.
Users can also view statistics showing how often their CV or company information has been accessed.
Information About Visitors to the CV.TV website
Visitors can access the home page of the CV.TV website and browse the site without disclosing their personal details.
We do, however, gather general information about the use of our website, for example by:
Maintaining a log of the IP addresses of visitors to the CV.TV website and to which pages are viewed from that IP address
Collecting non-personal visitor information such as computer type, Internet browser and screen resolution
Using pixel tags, web beacons and clear GIFs to monitor web pages visited

If a person or company chooses to register with CV.TV we will store their information on systems hosted by Linode LLC, based at 329 E. Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway, New Jersey, United States, but which may be located in any country in which they operate.
CV.TV remains responsible for safeguarding your personal information and we will take ALL legal steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
Disclosure Of Users Information
CV.TV will not disclose the personal information that is provided by Users, or details of their visits to this website, to any external organisations except:
With Users consent, or as necessary for the career management services that you have requested
To third party service providers who assist us in providing career management services
Where we believe we are required or permitted to do so by law, court order or a regulatory authority.
We may also disclose or transfer personal information to a third party who acquires all or part of CV.TVs business, whether through merger, acquisition, joint venture, consolidation or insolvency. In such a case, the recipient of your personal information may be located anywhere in the world.
Security
The team at CV.TV is committed to protecting Users information. We employ a variety of measures to secure information and to protect it against things such as accidental loss or disclosure, unauthorised access, and false use or alteration. The CV.TV website offers SSL encryption to protect the transmission of sensitive data. The servers are engineered using the latest technology in data back ups and disaster recovery. The servers are hosted across multiple data centres connected with private network to ensure high availability.
However, transmission of information via the Internet cannot be totally secure, not can any data security facility can be totally secure.
